Stitch- I was starting to feel like I was in the Twlight Zone when no one was posting. Cool how someone who is literally half way-around the world and twelve times zones away, was first to respond to my comments.<g>

I guess a lot of the value of the deal depends upon how much Veritas craters. Since it appears we get around $75/share(big deal) PLUS about .47 Veritas shares. But it looks pretty clear, Veritas is...hmmm....wouldn't you say maybe valued a teeny bit on the high side.

So basically the SEG officers, Texas Pacific Group, and Roger MacNamee don't have to be concerned about this any longer. Only the SEG shareholders will be left with that dilemmna.

And I wonder what is going to happen after the deal goes through. How may SEG conservative investors want to be holding VRTS shares? My guess is there will be a rush to the doors. Probably the second the shares pass hands. Which means not much of a premium to SEG current market value. But that's a hard one to call since I know next to nothing about Veritas. -MikeM(From Florida)

Stitch,

One last post before I go relax with the kids:

I guess I should be glad to get out of this now. I really think that this tech mania is about to come to an ugly end and stocks like VRTS are very overpriced, IMO. This gives me an avenue to cash out of a multiyear investment that will yield me 15 times my original investment.

I hate to pay the taxes but there is no escaping them, only postponing them.

Hope you are well and that we will all move on to make money on other investments.

-Robert
