I think it's as bad as it looks.

The only redeeming value is if Veritas benefits enough from the reduced share count and its inclusion in the S&P 500 that it moves promptly to $200.

Management is in cahoots with VRTS to fleece the shareholders. How can you give more shares back to Veritas than they are giving for acquisition. It's like me giving you $80 dollars for your bank account that has $100 in it. The banker then tells you that you are getting a good deal.

Just watch what the value of the assets that management will walk away with. They could easily take away assets valued at several times what they will pay for them.

The big boys are playing financial poker with us and we're getting the ashes from their cigars.
