niceguy and thread

The probability of a doubling in revenues to $5.5 billion in Y2000 and an eps between $4.00 and $7.00 is nothing to sneeze at...As soon as the market gets the drift of the new direction of the new AMD, a sizeable hike in its P/E ratio cannot be avoided...The market caught a glimpse of the new direction of the new AMD with Q4's release...Q1 results, imho, will do wonders for reshaping the perception of AMD watchers as record Q4 earnings of $0.43 are reinforced by Q1 earnings that supercede record Q4 earnings! A major price revaluation of AMD is unavoidable with the release of Q1 earnings, imho, assuming stable general markets!

niceguy,
Say AMD ran at 100% capacity for one entire year producing more high margin parts than it is now. With its current fabs, how much revenue would that be? In other words, what's the maximum renenue AMD could take in without expanding?

niceguy,

I think AMD will see a hike in its P/E but not to the likes of a VTSS or CREE or RFMD etc. If such a hike should happen, I will be pleasantly shocked. :~))
