It's all academic now. Will the patterns of the past repeat once again? If there's one thing I learned from history class (which I hated BTW) is that history repeats itself. With that in mind, I think we could all agree that the bubble will pop. When? The $5000 question in our case. One thing for sure, is that if it does, we will get a wicked recession due to the current excesses in the system. Since everyone is now predicting such a scenario, it won't happen until it happens. The job of the market it to confuse and befuddle the maximum number of participants possible. Does anyone give a shit anymore?
