The short attack was absolutely beautiful.

They had a series of statements prepared, which happen to be true, but then drew conclusions and spread the innuendo that Valence's POs were in trouble. They timed the widespread release of these rumors to coincide with the release of the settlement shares to the escrow account at Bear Stearns. I wonder if they have information on how the Bear Stearn's put option is priced, and how that deal is structured?

It is possible that the lawyers leaked that information. In the past, the short camp seems to have known what the lawyers in the class action suit were doing.

In any case, if they knew BEST would have to sell 600k shares to hedge in the put, then the shorts had a great opportunity to pull off this smear attack.

But for persistent longs, this is a great chance to re-enter, or add to positions.

Paul
