I visited GMPCS gmpcs-us.com (my Globalstar service provider) earlier today (actually, Monday).

(They are about a two hour drive from where I live).

I warned the people I talked to -- that most everything I saw would probably end up being posted on Silicon Investor ...

Receptionist received about 4 or 5 phone calls during the minute or two I was sitting near the front desk. She had to do those duplicate carbon paper telephone message things on several of the calls.

Gunnar Sandstrom (the "main" man, I believe) (who I had met a few months ago, last time I visited GMPCS's offices) (and -- that time, Gunnar had time to talk to me and my wife at fairly great length about how he thought Globalstar was going well, etc ...) was in a meeting with more people crammed in the room than I saw in the whole office last time I visited.

Adam Eckstein, the sales manager told me :

They are working late all the time.

They have U.P.S. coming to pick up out-going shipments 2 or 3 times a day now, instead of just once. (It's like 3:00 P.M., 6:00 P.M., and late now; instead of just 3:00 P.M.)

They are moving to larger offices shortly (business cards I picked up today already have the new address).

GMPCS feels that once more data capabilities are "enabled" by Globalstar (expected by July), there are lots of handset buyers who will place large orders.

The day Greg Hymowitz told the CNBC viewing audience that he called a Globalstar distributor in New York City and was told that only 2 Globalstar customers had been signed up, that was "good for" about 1/2 to 3/4 of a billion dollars in market cap. GONE on Globalstar (which has not come back, YET ...)

I invite Mr. Hymowitz to actually check with GMPCS.

Jon.
