Loki,
The current TA on CPQ for position trading indicates CPQ has entered a down trend. No doubt about it. The rumor kicked all the momentum out of the stock.

The current TA on Dell for position trading isn't stellar. The DMA, and MACD both gave a sell signals. MACD on March 28, and DMA on March 29. Stochastics hasn't confirmed the sell signals, but conventional wisdom is one confirmation is enough to sell.

Of course any dramatic news or rumors will move Compaq or Dell back into an up trend or accelerate the down trend.

Where do you get a pe of 83??? You must be reading some outdated data. Trailing pe's, specifically after a CEO has been replaced are quite comical and useless. Projected pe's of 6-18 months are much better suited if you plan on using them at all.

Sabre!
