Avalorem, Remember, Bernie is an expert in mergers and all his mergers were very successful.I think, that his vision will go beyond WCOM/FON in the future. Scenario No.1, WCOM/FON deal is approved: price should go to 60-65.
Scenario No.2,WCOM/FON deal is denied, it will create some disappointment, price can drop but recover fast. Why,because as long as UUNET is part of that company,WCOM is very well positioned. According to my calculations,we are building a very strong base at 43.
If the government demands UUNET to be removed,UU will be spin off and like now FON/PCS or COMS/PALM will trade
as independent stock.
But even without UU,WCOM will be having PCS and
building the best wireless as it did with UU.
