Hi Bob,
One of the things you might try is to turn on Newport. From just about any screen press the the "F1" key on your computer. That will bring up the "Newport instruction Manual". It is pretty good reading. The chapter called Newport Notes will answer all of your questions about entering prices, splits etc.
Hope this helps.
Bernie

Hi Rob, What you will want to do is start at the main menu. Bring up Maintenance and look for "Fix A Price". There look for JBL and change the current price to the new split adjusted price - about $41, I believe.

Next bring up JBL inside Newport. At the bottom of the page is the little car with the hood up - called Maintenance. Click there and highlight the field where the # of shares are shown. Change the number to your new total quantity. Save this information.

Now, you should be showing the correct value with the price and shares that were current after the split. Newport automatically restarts the Line Graph showing the split with a long vertical line and next week will show the price history and moving average restarting from the new point.

BTW, this is the same procedure to use when mutual funds give you a "Distribution" of shares.

Best regards, Tom
