"...and after the screen came back on..."

i wonder if these aren't the operative words, as in reboot.

PMS Witch,

Yes it was solved right away by thecow's message #8904 (see my message #8907). I was going to send you copies of the messages but I could not paste to this message. Is there some secret for pasting? Thanks

Grant Hurford

Go Back ...

This product looks like it could become a requirement for maintaining one's sanity while working in a Windows environment. Although I never used Go Back, I've used version management software and found it indispensable. This minute's flash of inspiration so often turns into a nightmare in the blink of an eye. How often have we muttered under our breath "I wish I hadn't done that!" and felt the sinking feeling one gets when they begin to realize the mess they created?

Norton's Image program records a 'map' of your disk. If your system gets 'lost', Norton stuff can help it find its way using this map. However, it only helps find 'misplaced' stuff: It doesn't retrieve 'discarded' or 'changed' stuff, nor removes 'added' stuff. It helps maintain the integrity of your disk. If your disk is full of junk, this program will insure that your junk doesn't get lost.

In short, Image preserves the container, while Go Back preserves the contents. Two different jobs: Both important.

Cheers, PW.
