Franq--Random thoughts. I note your rededication to GG after Fri's fall. Although, I am sure it was disconcerting to you and Uncle West to see CREE drop 42% off its high, I would comment that this does present a good entry point. Right now JDSU is IMHO way overvalued and QCOM is still a hell of a bargain capable of supporting 180 to 200 today. CTXS appears to me to be somewhat undervalued like CREE.

hi UF, Mike and everyone....

wow....what a week to be off playing. have not been on line for several days.
i am hopelessly behind on reading...will catch up here though soon.

left palm beach gardens, florida about 11 days ago.

presently west of phoenix. toured marco island and punta gorda, then took off to louisiana...weather was grim for fishing so spent 2 days driving back roads in the middle of the state...cleaned up in a casino stud game, then hit hold em for more. next was 2 days in san antonio. riverwalk is terrific. spent 2 nights in tucson (our 4th or 5th visit)...we luv tucson. tons of cactus in bloom everywhere.

on to indian wells tomorrow for a coupla days (gotta visit the outlaws!)...going to hang around southern cal.... san diego, LA, temecula.... all of april....grandchild #5 due to arrive in LA very soon.

new rv (my 5th) is awesome....perfect small rig....born free 26', with all options and self searching satellite (that we don't use...but grandkids like). we have had bigger and smaller...this one is just right for the 2 of us and easy in the cities.

tip....the new motorola timeport is a helluva cellphone.

good luck to all,
unclewest

Uncle Frank: If anyone should be in the "penalty box" it would seem that would be the person using a tone which seemed to be somewhat lacking in ordinary courtesy, not the person objecting.

But you are the King here so I recognize "rough justice".

This message concerns a previous discussion elsewhere on the use of "sure thing" re gorillas (silverbacks).

I again suggest that language may be misunderstood, particularly be less sophisticated investors.

I submit that even silverback gorillas are somewhat less than "sure things" in the ordinary use of that term.

And today's anticipated judge's ruling on MSFT may be a reminder of that.

Best as always.

Note: Realize I should have posted this to you directly, but responded when the matter of "safety" was raised and the "sure thing" phrase came to mind.

In any event here it is for your comment (and rebuttal if you are so inclined)
