Patrick, re:<<MSFT ruling will come soon. Any thoughts how this may affect Dell and other computer makers and their stocks?>> I think the MSFT weekend events are going to drag down all the techs tomorrow morning. MSFT certainly isn't going to help improve the negative sentiment that we have seen this past week. I'm hoping that the techs will recover before the markets close tomorrow, however, I'm concerned that we will close on a down note. Also, many technical indicators are going to be broken...not good. Wish I could be more positive.

I'm not so sure I would want to buy MSFT at this time. It's like trying to catch a falling knife. I think MSFT is going down, will find a new support level, and start building a base. By this time the judge's ruling will have been announced. Then the appeals process will start and take years to finish.

I believe Dell will fall by 2 to 3 points. The question that needs to be answered is...what will a break up of MSFT mean to the box makers, and others in the tech sector. IMO, it will not mean much in the long run. I guess a parallel to this MSFT break up would be the break up of the old "Ma Bell". Was the telecommunications industry better off before the break up? I'll let you answer this question.

Well, that's my take on the MSFT deal. What do you think?
