It is clear enough that the head of the household will be the man, given a traditional understanding of masculinity, and I admit that one reason that my wife and I have no trouble is that, although I am very supportive of her career, and proud of her, I remain the person she most leans on and looks up to, and therefore my position as head of the household is not belittled. Is that the sort of thing you are looking for?
