The MSFT decision should cause everyone to reevaluate their 'Gorilla' holdings. The DOJ's message is that they will intervene if any tech company gains too much power. Why would CSCO, INTC or any other be different?

Historically, increases in antitrust enforcement have had high correlations with bearish markets and sudden crashes. Hypothesis: antitrust creates perceived limited rewards which decreases a rational market's expected return on an investment in stocks. If this expected return drops below the actual return of essentially risk free bonds, look out below!!!!!!!

The DOJ is doing a great disservice to investors in the short term. It is also harming the long term viability of American tech. dominance by creating an atmosphere in which high risk capital will not flow as freely.

This was a very sad day for our country.

Not a chance? Perhaps. But if there is one thing I have learned over the years, it is: never say never! (which is the same thing as saying "not a chance") Yogizuna NDX
