Eric L: Pleased to see your "take" on Qualcomm, CDMA and related issues, and that you see Mike's update as a strong contribution to our overall understanding of both where the Q is a year later after his first major analysis, and where it may be in the near and more distant future.

I particularly respect your judgement because you see both the CDMA and GSM(and TDMA) technologies, standards situations and other essential issues (such as politics) in a much more objective fashion than many do. And that is based on a strong experience base as well as overall smarts.

Now after making nice, (easy in this case), a favor please.

Would you keep this thread informed as time permits on "smart cards"?

While there is no gorilla nor king yet in that area, IMO it is a key area of technology to watch.

This is a little stretch perhaps for here but suggest it is relevant to understanding relevant current and potential gorillas and kings - most importantly and specifically - Qualcomm.

Best.

The first is the "Front Office" update and the second is "QCOM" revisited.

Thank you for noticing, Eric. To write both those posts on the same day required a lot of time.

I'm writing this before reading the rest of your post. That's because right now I love ya and don't want to spoil the mood should I find that you disagree with me in other parts of your post. LOL! :)

Seriously, thanks again.

Eric,

Your post about Qualcomm was better than mine. Cut that out!
