ANOTHER bloody day in the techs. Between yesterday and today, I'm a little more than slightly above even. A couple of losers bringing me down, but when we rebound, I'll be just fine. I'm not sure when to jump into NASD again. I've done it twice in the past week and am ready for another one. But I think I'll wait ...

In the WSJ, M&I Section this morning is a section titled "For Investors, Margin Calls Follow Gloom". The SF PBS affiliate had a special on tech stocks on Sunday with a lot of market watchers looking for a MAJOR correction. There is over a QUARTER TRILLION dollars in margin out there right now and investment houses are getting stricter and stricter on the calls procedure. Could spell disaster. Looks like this might be just the beginning!

Re: "I totally agree...with any rally in tech later today, AMD should make a run at 65.
OTOH, with AMD running up into earnings, AMD will need to surprise to the upside even more to avoid a sell off after earnings come out."

Comment:
Nasdaq now testing 4000, AMD testing $60...Enough is enough!!!...let's see if we get any kind of a bounce here...

Like I said earlier, AMD is going to trade all over the map, like a roller coaster, but the bias will be strongly up once the dust settles, imho! Concerning earnings, if AMD is below $70 when earnings are released, I wouldn't count on any selloff...On the contrary, I'd look for a significantly higher price than $70 a week after earnings release! (Currently Nasdaq 3900 and AMD $57.50)...Looks like a classic whipsaw is unfolding here and the day isn't even half over! Wonder what the other half of the day will bring! Hopefully equal and opposite!

Re: "Nice rah rah guy,
RE:"With over 2 million AMD shares traded already this morning, it looks like the possibility of another 7 million share plus day is looming large...and if AMD does 7 million shares today, look for a succesful(?) test of $65.

Comment: Looks like we'll get our 7 million shares, may even get our $64.50 again...but certainly not the routing one would normally expect! Anything over $60 looks good to me at this point!
