I'm not saying that we turn around and run back to new highs next week. All I am saying is that with the exception of the remaining margin calls I think that we have seen the worst of it. I do expect that we bounce around and start moving back up fairly soon.

<<issues could take months and months to reach their old highs(if ever).>>

The if ever is the best sign of a bottom I have seen on this board. Not meant as a jab but rather just an observation

That is what happened last year with the internets. April I think. They had a corrective action and then bounced but didn't reach the old highs. Well, the premier stocks eventually did but most did not. It's like a shakeout.

The longer term investors with solid stocks will come back fine but there very well may be some junk stock that is left behind.

As to psychological damage well... God bless America that is what the market is all about! No one is Psychologically damaged when the market rises 550 points. Hell no. It's just the reverse that we need counseling for.

There was a tremendous run after the last correction and the one before it. If this is truly the bottom it might possibly be the same again. Don't forget there are funds, managers and traders out there that know when most of the panic has hit full tilt and they take advantage of it. They also know when things become value.

I'll look at the charts here in a minute. I need me some dinner! :-)
