Dan, re:<Sanders was considerate enough to wait until Goutama had closed his contest>

I was really surprised AMD made a pre-announcement so late, but it certainly was effective! With Sanders being very exact with his revenue prediction ("at least 1.06 billion"), does this remove the possibility of considerably higher revenues, say 1.1 billion? Osha gave a profit estimate of (I think) 56 cents, but the way the game is played, his real estimate to his insiders is higher than that, maybe 60 to 65 cents. So AMD may have to exceed his nominal 56 cent estimate by 0.10 to get a pop at earnings. I expect the distance between the current price ~66 and Osha's price target (120) to be cut considerably before earnings, but since the possibility of a huge upside surprise has been eliminated, that may be a good time to take some profits.

With CNBC on in the background, I haven't heard any mention of Osha's upgrade, nor was AMD mentioned by Joe Kernan. IMO, he hates AMD.

LOL... Good AMD earnings are expected by all of us, but the pre-announcement was a sweet surprise.

To all the AMD call options holders: I just placed a limit order to sell my Apr60 calls at 9 3/4. I will use the proceeds to buy some Apr 70s, July 80s (if they are offered) and few AMD shares as long term investment. Now on I will try to accumulate AMD share for long term holding - that is buy and forget about them for a long time (DERBES approach).

Regards,
Goutama

PS: My order just went thru!
