Petz....re:With CNBC on in the background, I haven't heard any mention of Osha's upgrade, nor was AMD mentioned by Joe
Kernan. IMO, he hates AMD.

Kernan did mention AMD earlier this morning and even had one of those CNBC stock charts up on the screen. At the last he said, "Maybe AMD is going to do it this time."

For some reason I think what Jerry said was a slip of the tongue. Why would AMD pre-announce so late in the Q, one week before earnings come out, and in Japan during a press conference of all places?

Note AMD said record processor shipments so that means at least 6 million. And with at least 1.2M Athlons shipped that means at least 4.8 million K6-xs were sold. Not bad for a Q1!
