With all due respect, you could not be more wrong. As a matter of fact, here is a list of 103 Prominent Companies. Few are served by MicroSoft OS or IIS Web Server. unix-vs-nt.org lnux is making inroads, but the inroads are limited in scope relative to msft's dominance. Boy, where to start with this one. Around 60% of web servers world wide use the Apache web server. Most of them run on Linux or FreeBSD. msft has less than 10% of the web server market. How is this dominance? The Netcraft Web Server Survey netcraft.co.uk msft is, by far, the largest enabler of the internet. What? Servers (mostly Linux, FreeBSD, or UNIX) enable the internet.
