Well, excuse me bargainman, but you and I must have experienced different 70s and 80s. My recollection is somewhat different from yours. Reagan presided over huge tax cuts and historically significant increases in revenue. It was the congress that failed to live up to promises of reduced spending. Our economy is still benefiting from Reagan's economic boom in spite of Clinton's tax increases and other curious accomplishments. I lost money on my own and take full responsibility for that. I even admit to being inexperienced with the market. What I can't do, however, is take take responsibility for the current market conditions. I lay that responsibility directly in the lap of the current administration. Their policies of the past seven years or so are catching up to them. I choose not to attack you personally as you did me. We should be able to carry on constructive debates without personal attacks. I believe there is an ignore feature on this board.
