The TXCC's chart below shows the sign of a stock dominated by daytraders who need to liquidate prior to the end of the day.

We can see any of the semi's today and they all look very similar towards the end of the day - they fell off the cliff on relatively weak volume.

Today's learning - after a big shakeout, expect daytraders to dominate trading activities the next few days.

I noticed that the big cap techs all went down today together with the old econ stocks. For us semi lovers, we need to see this pattern continuing because this is where the money is going to come from. I doubt there will be fresh new mega money flow into the market. People in general have been made poorer by the market, unless they start selling their new homes, new cars, new everything. I think most people who wanted to contribute to their IRA's have already done so this year since average Joe has been educated quite well in the past few years on Investing 101.

Doc, SAWS's resistence is at $64. In the event it trades there in a hurry, I would get out around there and rotate the money into its left-behind peers.
