Lee, I'm making a lot of money trading. Made more trading percentage wise last year than I did with the longer term ones. But,why not make more by having your capital work for you? One can't have all their money working on a daily or position trading basis unless their funds are limited. Additionally, one can't be successful at day trading (assuming they are involved with more than a few stocks) unless it has one's undivided attention throughout the day. Anyone that tells you they are a successful day trader and they aren't watching the market closely when they are playing it, is playing with peanuts. When one plays with big money they watch it like a hawk. They are not spending their time doing anything but watching their stocks. That's the only way they can move in and out of the better opportunities while making sure they protect their investment.
