Wegener Communications Wins Order for African
Project from Titan Corporation

UNITY Receivers With COMPEL Control and DiviCom Encoding
Equipment Provide End To End Contribution Solution

DULUTH, Ga., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Wegener Corporation (Nasdaq: WGNR - news) announced it has received an order
during its recently ended 2nd quarter from Titan Wireless, a division of The Titan Corporation (NYSE: TTN - news) for digital video broadcast equipment for use in Africa. Wegener's UNITY4000 IRD's (Integrated Receiver Decoders) plus COMPEL Control network management system will be used with DiviCom encoding equipment to provide two complete contribution links. One is a national television link while the other is a private business TV link. Video transmissions from both locations will be consolidated and re-multiplexed from an existing earth station at a third re-transmission site. The two channels will then be received at four remote locations, which will then rebroadcast the video stream to the entire country.
