Hi David,

Hope the WSJ noted your multiple talents: comedy, medicine, leverage management...to name a few. Not surprised, though. Anyone comprehending McMillan's options text after a bottle of wine has to be Enstein's descendant.

Sorry about your margin call. Quite a nuisance, isn't it? Worse yet, its enforcing troops. Are they working from a remote cave, not noting any appreciating manipulated roulette market?

On a side note, humorous to see an ad by your brokerage house. It portrayed a friendly help and assistance to Sally Field. What a joke!

Take care and good luck, David.

di

Dr. Dave The Cereal Box King,

You brought back some memories.

Remember Super Sugar Crisp who had the character named Sugar Bear.
I think they call them Super Honey Crisp or something now. I wonder how many bees helped in the "new" formula...

My favorite cereal, growing up, was Frosted Flakes. Tony the Tiger was the Coolest. I used to eat 2-3 bowls of the stuff with toast and O.J. every morning. My poor teachers had to deal with me bouncing off the walls for the first few hours of school because of the sugar high I was on.

I never liked it when my mom would bring home Cheerios. They tried to market them to us as the cereal that gave you muscles. That only lasted so long.
I remember taking my table spoon and dipping into the sugar bowl a few times to sweeten them up. The sugar would always fall through the little holes in the "O" shaped cardboard tasting processed oat product. The cool part was when I would drag my spoon through the puddle of milk and scrape up a wet mound of sugar along with 3 or 4 Cheerios.

Honey Comb was always being pushed onto me with every Saturday Morning cartoon commercial. "Come to the Honey Comb Hide Out!"
Anyone else remember that commercial?
I remember after eating that cereal, I'd always get these hollow burps that contained the cereal flavor. I'm convinced that Air was one of it's largest ingredients...

I never liked Frosted Mini Wheats.
Those damn things were like little straw woven sponges that sucked up ever single drop of milk. This would happen within 60 seconds of adding the milk to the bowl.
All of a sudden I would have a bowl with 9 HUGE mini wheats and a few droplets of milk.
My mom would always ensure that I ate each and every milk filled sponge...

Rice Krispies were cool. Any Cereal that made neat little popping sounds was O.K. with me.
Soon they really capitalized on them by making Flintstones' Chocolate Pebbles. The bowl would turn into Chocolate Milk!
Now that was a billion dollar idea! I wish I had invested in that!

My mom rarely bought us the tiny boxes of cereal that you explained earlier. Except when we were going on vacation or something. That was when we could get the huge multipak that had each and every one of Kelloggs brands. You could cut them open on the face of the box and pour the milk right into it. This was another brain storm!
It seemed as if the boxes corn pops and the mini wheats were always left until the end. Then I would try to con my little brothers into having the delicious mini wheats.

The Sugar Corn Pops were O.K. I just didn't care for any cereal that was named after a Vegetable. It took me a while to even like Fruit Loops for the same reason.

I don't remember having to eat hot oatmeal. Recently I've had some of the various flavored types and liked them.

My wife bought my kids some Frosted Flakes recently. One Sunday morning, instead of making bacon and eggs or pancakes, I decided to try them again.

I had two bowls with toast and Orange Juice.

Best breakfast I've had in a while!

<In best Tony voice>
They're Great!!!

P.S. Remember some cereal companies would let you collect box tops to cash in eventually for cool prizes?
I have 76,534,298 box tops now. Do you think I could use these to help build back my portfolio. Perhaps I can get some Rice Ciscos or Frosted Qualcomms...

...a guy can dream, can't he...

Evening Doc,

After reading about your margin problems with Schmuc...er, Schwab, you have scared me from ever using margin. Only with a little guidance from The Man V would I consider it. Hope you problems with them are over now.

Take Care,

Joel
