Zeev, followup on our discussion last week

Please read messages 8957 thru 8960 on the KLIC board on Yahoo. Bonderbill, posting from Semicon Europe. They are assorted analyst type reports.

One message gives a typical breakdown of chip sales by application; computers (PC's etc) are only 37% nowadays.

Another message addresses the issue of capital equipment spending as a percentage of semi companies revenue. It seems (as you said) that equipment spending is increasing faster than semi sales right now. But it concludes that, because semi sales are increasing pretty fast also, the growth in the ratio is sustainable without a blowup through end of 2001. After that the article seems to be predicting a slowdown in growth.

These seem to address some of your reasons for short-term pessimism, and I'd be interested to hear any comments.
