Thanks, that's it. In this market, something relativley unimportant brings out the sellers fast. MHO, not news that will keep the stock down for long.

John, I understand that Dan Reingold of CS First Boston used the revised terms of the AOL contract to revise downward his revenue estimate and indicated it would "impact earnings by a penny or two." In this environment, I suppose any analyst downgrade will have a major negative impact. I can't conceive that any minor adjustment in the terms between UUNET and AOL won't be replaced by volume/revenue from other internet players. Very discouraging to see a 10% correction (in a matter of minutes!) in a major and relatively undervalued stock like WCOM. But the other thing that makes me nervous is the potential impact the lousy regulators might have in their FON ruling... I hope we're not the next MSFT and/or CRA (or Smith & Wesson or tobacco company).
