George, i know...there was only ONE exception to the rule (big rally) in the past 18 months...so if we sell off tomorrow, it would be a bad sign. if we rally, business as usual is back.

At these low levels of unemployment, I think we are measuring noise rather than signal. The difference between, say, 4 and 4.5 % unemployment might be important, but it's not clear that the difference between 4 and 3.9%, as tomorrow's figures are likely to give, is either important or measurable. Take a look at how the unemployment figures have gone down almost linearly since 93 and how nicely they have smoothed out over the last year. Too smooth, if you ask me.
