SteveC,

see a 50/50 chance of AMD making the announcement on 4/12 for maximum press coverage along with its earnings release.

News like that (Dell coming aboard) will more likely happen when (if?) Dell is ready to introduce the machines. Announcement on AMD's earnings release day does not do anything for Dell.

SteveC:

Re: "I agree it is inevitable and, despite today's denial by Dell, see a 50/50 chance of AMD making the announcement on 4/12 for maximum press coverage along with its earnings release. At the same time, if Dell continues to hold out, when Thunderbird is released in volume I don't see how Dell can then stay out of the AMD fold. By that time other major OEMs will be offering AMD PCs geared to the corporate market and Dell won't be able to sit on the sidelines any longer."

Comment: Agree wholeheartedly!
