Fiscal conservative to me means someone obsessed with collecting enough taxes to pay for the ever increasing cost of the socialist's wealth transfer schemes.

Tell that to the Democrat who just blew 50 million tax payer dollars for a spring break vacation.

The Democrats were the ones fighting against civil rights legislation. And Abraham Lincoln (a Republican) fought for the cause of freedom for slaves.

The Kennedy clan made their fortune off prohibition.

You're right, I am glad the Republicans won.

How long do you think the Democrats will get away with preventing parents from choosing the school they wish to send their children too?

My prediction...Within 10 years, vouchers will be the rule rather than the exception. The radical left wing NEA and their hypocritical paid shrill Al Gore, will surely lose that one. Heck, both Democratic Mayors running for office in Milwaukee even support expanding the voucher program there. Care to guess why??

It's only a matter of time before the rest of the Democratic party supports ending the hideous government monopoly in education.

It's truly remarkable how well freedom works.

Michael

your stance is clear...you by chance got...oh never mind

Slavery? Suffrage? Prohibition? Drug War? Creationist 'Science'? Prayer in School? Gun laws? Abortion? Racism? Sexism? Gay bashing? etc etc etc. Lost 'em all. Thank God.

you equate your immoral stance of pro-KILLING children in the same sentence with gun laws? I bet you approve of killing kiddos using money grubbing abortionists all the while, calling for safety locks FOR children huh!! AND calling on God's name while doing it. BOY are you in for a surprise.

You can't hold back the forces of social change. You can take it gradually, or in violent spurts (like social earthquakes). Name
one domestic social issue that social conservatives have ever "won"? Slavery? Suffrage? Prohibition? Drug War? Creationist
'Science'? Prayer in School? Gun laws? Abortion? Racism? Sexism? Gay bashing? etc etc etc. Lost 'em all. Thank God.

With the exception of slavery and suffrage, I would say all the other issues are still in play, one way or another. Are you suggesting that alcohol and drugs don't adversely affect society? Nor have you heard the last of creationist science or prayer in school, especially if vouchers make any headway. Gun laws, Abortion, Racial quotas, feminist agendas and homosexual issues are far from settled and may not be anytime soon, thank some other God. The pendulum swings both ways.
