If your definition of a fiscal conservative is someone who will fight to substantially cut ( not just slow the growth of ) government spending than count me in that group.

I'm just telling you though, too many politicians who use that label ( or perhaps hide behind it ) don't have the stomach for that fight and instead are content to be tax collectors for the welfare state.
