Some social changes just happen, it's the natural social course. Like water running downhill. You can say, "Look at those rapids haul a#!" But that statement doesn't cause the water to flow. I can dam the water, but it still wants to flow and eventually it will break the dam. I can make an artificial river with pumps and hoses, but it won't last. That's the difference. Society is always progressing forward. Like the river flowing, um, to the sea? Very bad cliche. I apologize.
