Thanks for that PYR link, Salty. BTW, I noticed PYR is quite conservative in projecting only 600-800 ft of net Temblor Sand in their schematic. They might want to update that in a couple of days. <gg>

<<Does this mean that the JV's gas will command a 30% premium over the Nymex price?
Dare I ponder a figure of $4/mcf?>>

Yep, 30% plus $0.20/mcf, so $4/mcf works for me. Of course, that's roughly 5.80 loonies/mcf for us Canucks !! And to think I sold my spot gas today for just $3.65/mcf. I suddenly feel like I was taken advantage of. <gg>

<<The stylised ELH cross section on the PYR website clearly shows the west flank structure, dipping to the East and being truncated by the Lost Hills thrust.
You can see that it is a separate structure from the ELH anticline.>>

Salty, would you expect the west flank structure to be roughly the same length as the ELH anticline (~14 miles) ??

Have a good one.

Later,
grayhairs

S&P, being a little simple, and more than a little bit slow
in the comprehension department.......
Would you feel comfortable that the highgrade gas would,
for the simplistic layman, translate to an automatic, freakin' 30% more pay load for the whole darn deal.
For example, if someone said there is 3 trillion cu ft, I
could sort of tack on another trillion for highgrade when
estimating how big a truck I'll need when I go to the stinkin' bank?

Oh, I figure tomorrow is going to be a stellar day, as I
can't imagine anyone would want to not establish a position
before friday's close.
