Hello Tero,

<< The question is how much the operators will want to do with GPRS. Do they want to upgrade 70-90% of their existing subs to GPRS subs in 2-3 years? I think they do >>

I am wondering if these numbers are not a tad aggressive?

Numbers I'm hearing for GPRS for the major carriers of Europe by end year 2005 is 60-70% of the aggressively evolved GSM 2G/2.5G subscriber base. Don't mean to nitpick, and at the very least, these are pretty substantial numbers, but 4.5 years is really significantly different than 2-3 years and 65% is substantially different than 80%.

I have no "official" source to cite for this, just some breakfast talk with Nokia Infra guys who deal with these carriers, on my last visits to Europe, and some reads of summaries of a few recent reports from 2 of the major research firms.
