Tero,

>>Verve - we have had the first concrete IS-95 operator commitment to 3G in Asia. And DDI chose W-CDMA.>>

Tero, you're an intelligent guy, surely you don't think DDI REALLY has their mind set on WCDMA. That 'story' you're referring to is highly suspect to begin with, it has a high deniability factor, and I haven't read anywhere that DDI has made their committment to any particular solution.

In fact, DDI president Okuyama has DENIED disclosing any plans at all.

Until DDI mgmt comes right out and says it, DDI doesn't support your argument whatsoever.

>>And then there are all these test networks in China, Hong Kong and Europe.>>

Test networks don't indicate anything in the way of any WCDMA adoption.

>>If these facts don't indicate to you that Nokia's plan is working, I really can't help you.>>

I certainly wouldn't call a suspect story about a carriers 'intention' a 'fact' that they are adopting WCDMA. AND I also wouldn't consider 'intentions' to adopt what appears to be FUDware an indication that Nokia's grand WCDMA 'plan' is working either.

So you're right, you're not able to help me.

Unless you have some additional evidence you'd like to present that makes a case for WCDMA adoption, I suppose we have to consider this discussion closed because nothing you've brought to the table that reveals anything.

BTW, ERICY annointing HDR and CDMA 2000 IS significant, and I know deep down inside you must feel the same. This is value chain creation 101 at it's finest.

Don't get me wrong, NOK is a GREAT company, they're great at what they do and they're gonna do very well in the future, however, I just don't yet see NOK having any sort of commanding presence peddling a rogue form of WCDMA.

That's all. I realize you like to show otherwise.

Please educate me.
