el paradisio, thanks sincerely for that speedy confirmation. i heard it from a buddy at OFC in Baltimore. may i ask how you know? i suppose it is common knowledge in the industry, but it is shocking to a civilian like me. seems to me T HAS to upgrade whatever the cost. i note your first holding is - or was - qcom. on that one, i heard their key cdma patents expire in 2003. is that true, too? qcom was very good to me in 1999, but i've been out of it since january. best of luck, jack
