r.edwards,

Microsoft's Pocket PC is an OS, not a hardware item.

As I have stated before, Microsoft is extremely SanDisk-friendly and even gave away an 8 MB CompactFlash card last year with the purchase of a handheld PC that supported Windows CE.

Another SanDisk-friendly companies in this arena is Psion PLC and the EPOC OS supported by the Symbian venture, which is a consortium of vendors primarily in the mobile communications/wireless phone industry.

The least SanDisk-friendly is clearly 3COM/Palm, which I have always attributed to lack of foresight & ingenuity, a lackluster OS and the lack of a robust microprocessor.
