investors business daily 4/12 00 todays business daily had a very large front page story about emc the featured article could not have been more favorable.artcle concludes with emc will be to 2000 and beyond what microsoft was to the 80s now emc is also in the S&P 100, SAME AS S&P 500. THE WORST OF THE SELL OFF IS OVER. <<<frontpage article in IBD on EMC. Titled.."Internet Revolution can only play into hands of storage leader EMC" Anything new in the article...not really,just a nice collection of the facts as we know them... A few worth mentioning here; "it continues to take market share away from the others" A little more than a year ago,the internet was only have a negilgible impact on EMC.But in the forth QTR dot-Com companies accounted for as much as 14% of its business... ABOUT THE INTERNET.. "Dot-Com companies double their storage needs every 90 days (the 2000 largest companies double every year). Surging amount od data rich media -music, vedio etc is fueling demand.." "EMC leads the market in all three areas of storage-SAN, NAS and direct attached" The article hilights EMC's strengh in the software area and goes on to say.."EMC has been successfull because this(software Approach) aims to provide answers to businesses problems,they are not just pushing the latest tech.."
