OT: artificial blood and blood substitutes: Biopure, BPUR, is completing Phase 3 trials this summer, I believe. I spoke to the CEO at the H & Q Technololgy conference in January and he expected then to be cleared for sale in late 2000/early 2001. Company recently completed 1.2 mm shares offering thru J.P. Morgan. Only questions may be that the company's product is bovine-derived - hence some skepticism regarding human use.... Interesting situation, tho, IMO...
