(Nasdaq: RNWK), the recognized leader in media delivery on the Internet, today announced that RealPlayer(R), the world's most popular Internet audio and video player, now has more than 115 million unique registered users. This announcement falls in conjunction with the 5th anniversary of RealAudio(R), introduced on April 10, 1995, at the National Association of Broadcasting Conference in Las Vegas. Five years later, RealNetworks continues to be the leader in providing consumers access to a wide range of audio and video programming on the Internet. RealPlayer 7, the newest version of the industry-leading player, has already surpassed the 25-million unique registered user mark, an adoption rate believed to be the fastest ever for a product distributed over the Internet.

RealPlayer was the most used media application in United States households in February with more than 20 million US home users according to two leading independent measurement companies, Nielsen//NetRatings and Media Metrix. -- Real.com(R) Take 5 is one of most viewed media programs in February. Real.com Take5, the innovative programming showcase built into RealPlayer 7, was one of the top three most viewed streaming media programs during the month of February according to Nielsen//NetRatings, introducing millions of RealPlayer users to the best streaming media content on the Web. -- Real.com Network drives 250 million content accesses to its partners' media in Q1.
