If the critical chunk of a cacheline is obtained much faster than even CAS2 PC133 can provide, that's leads to higher benchmark scores and a lower level of stability.

More likely it leads to an illegal instruction execution, and a GPF causing the application to terminate. That argument doesn't hold much water.
