what would you say if the performance of the 815 chipset isn't as good as Tom's overclocked 440BX? Remember that the 815 supports both PC133 and an external AGP port, so it should finally replace the 440BX.

I would guess that the difference is the overclocked AGP bus, but there could be other issues. What is the CAS latency of the memory being used?

How does the performance compare to I820? (I don't really expect you to answer that, considering the political implications.) Is there any chance that Intel has crippled the 815, to avoid a DRDRAM crisis?

Regardless, the real test will be T-Bird with DDR.
