at least most old economy stocks have earnings. mrv does not, although maybe they will in the future.

first of all, CDP's earnings rose from 15 cents to 28 cents... i'd say that's pretty substantial. it's trading at 23x '00 earnings estimates (still somewhat high for a cyclical), and earnings are supposed to grow at 73% next year! i'd say you need to check your #'s to decide which is the better deal. MOT is anticipated to grow earnings by 35% from 00 to 01, and is trading at 47x 00 estimates... hmmmmm...not judging which is the "cooler" company, but i certainly wouldn't say MOT is a much better buy at this point.
