Paul, I am in your camp. I had several "quality" shorts such as SEBL that I covered on last weeks dip. Now just shorting stocks like ZIXI that are likely to continue down no matter what the NAZ does.

thanks, yes, ditto....but, only NOW they are fearful, mostly only AFTER the drops some people predicted near highs, but were chastised for doing (as usual)....we could not find many bears several weeks ago....Investors Intelligence still shows 54 % bulls, only 17 % bears....only this week at lows, have we seen highish put/call ratio on activity....and they tend to act too late, historically....

besides good classical technical chart patterns, I use messages I see/hear/read from CNBC and WSJ and newspapers, mags, my followers, and people I meet out there, to glean 'sentiment signals' at times....but the beautiful 'short the Techs/buy the depressed old econ. stocks' signal was a real good one....we keep close stops and diversify for when incorrect, so losses are cut small, and do not prevent us from doing 'the next things', PSY-chologically....gee, I see nothing BUT complacency and denail all around....but I do respect what you see on S.I., so thanks for the input....if people are fearful here, they should have cut back or sold near the highs, or at least hedged where possible (don't get me started) as we do at all times, using my "PSYCLE sm"....

I don't read many S.I. posts, sorry, and we do real well with my chart patterns, and sentiment, contrarily....my sole purpose is always only to help others....but I like that nice people can discourse here, without the venom some people give out in harm....
and, as I said, last week I recommended taking tons of Puts gains, as many Techs fell to their initial downside targets (like, their 'necklines', 50 DMA, and 200 DMA) as I teach, so we have also been holding above-avg. cash position here....since we do NO 'quickie trading', we do not reveerse and go long, even at support levels after big drops....but some of my folowers do, from my signals....
we are now awaiting rallies to buy puts again after, when/if near their highs, in many of the same stocks we already gave put gains in, off their recent tops....and, looking for pullbacks to buy long, more 'old econ.' stocks, near their lows....
hope this helps, best wishes,
