Eric,

This gun lobby is riuning the country imho.

If you want to shoot you should be able to at a controlled facility and enjoy yourself and leave your gun at the shooting facility.

The fact that there are essentially private armies in the country is NOT good.

The fact that any idiot even a 5 year old can get one is NOT good.

IMHO they should not allow any gun ownership. And should undertake an eefcetive plan to reduce current gun ownership by offering cash for guns. And putting people in JAIL who own them.

A young kid caught with some drugs can get sent to jail in this country for a LONG time.

The priorities are all wrong here.

regards,

Kash

<How are my personal likes the problem?... tried to load 45/9mm/.223 rounds ...I especially like the bayonet lug ban. When was the last time you heard about...Damned good thing we got that before it became a problem!>

People like you are the problem, your little fantasies
about superman etc. I would recommend you to hang
around your paper targets when someone with no
obligations will unload your bayonet lug ban...
When one of these little thingy will hit you,
maybe you will understand what these things are
for. Idiot.

Eric - actually I apologize for my post. You're right, it's a personal choice. The subject is never easy, my opinion is just my opinion.

I grew up with guns, I shot everything from BB guns to a 10 gauge shot gun (my grandfathers). I used to shoot clay pigeons and one time decided to look into why I actually like guns, and the power the have. I made some personal decisions, and tried to redirect my likes/dislikes.

But as I said, it's never an easy subject.

Regards,

Dave

Way off topic!!! re: <I especially like the bayonet lug ban. When was the last time you heard about someone getting bayoneted in the USA?>

I'm a martial arts enthusiast, so I'm wondering why this country allows for carrying of firearms in public (with a system of permits that I don't know anything about) while prohibiting martial arts weapons like nunchuks and throwing stars. If we had an NNA (National Nunchaku Association) instead of an NRA, guns would be outlawed while people would be arguing for their God-given right to carry nunchuks for personal defense. And in my humble opinion, the national murder rate would indeed go down. (But at the same time, the rate of broken bones and bruises would skyrocket. Oh well.)

Let's face it. There is a powerful subculture in America revolving around guns. This has very little to do with "personal defense" or "public safety" and much more to do with defending a "way of life" that has been ingrained into the hearts and minds of many Americans.

There, that's my two cents.
