MOT reported components shortage in yesterday's report.

To have a market top, we must have chip shortage first. This allows margins and profits to balloon that then provides the money for chip companies to expand. This also causes everybody to pile on so they don't miss the boat. It's called greed. I'm also mainly referring to the 2nd and 3rd tier companies, since the Intel's and TXN already have the cash.

It would seem to me that chip companies have been able to ramp up production to meet the demand the past year. But soon they won't have the fabs to put the machines in. Also, the time they receive a machine should increase. MU's CEO recently stated that if you haven't ordered your machines yet you'll have to wait a year. This is not the litho tools.

Please correct me if I'm all wet.
