So how many barrels of oil in 45,000 tons?

Gee, I can't imagine why! Their extremely agressive neighbor is flooding the market with oil to buy weapons that could be used against Iran. Then there is the fact that all this illegal oil reduces the price Iran gets for it's oil...

Or maybe there is just a disagreement over what the kickbacks should be.

Whatever the reason, this should be good for oil prices. Everyone have their API bets placed? I cleared my "overmargin" today at a very nice profit but still heavily leveraged.

Iran and US cooperation??

<<The new Iranian action is believed to be an effort by Tehran to demonstrate closer cooperation with the United States, the main enforcer of the sanctions against Iraq.>>

This is an important positive development for oil prices. But more importantly another step toward rationality and peacefulness by the Iranians. The youthful population of Iran has shown in recent elections that they are very tired of the repressive, religious right wing extremists. The Clinton administration also deserves credit for this. I hope that rationality will soon come to our Cuban policy. We have seen everywhere else in the communist world that exposure to western democratic ideas and trade has led to more freedom and economic opportunity.

Thanks again Big Bull for your international watch and significant contributions to this thread.

Good luck all. Winkman
