Re: Tomorrow we should close back in the 70s with over 10 million in volume. On Wednesday I could see 25 million AMD shares traded and AMD hitting the high 80s.

Steve,
Maybe I'm losing it after todays loss, but I thought today was Tuesday?

SteveC:

Re: "The 50 million must represent much more than 1/3 of the "effective float," e.g. many institutions and mutual fund advisors can't simply dump a stock in one day. Tomorrow we should close back in the 70s with over 10 million in volume. On Thursday I could see 25 million AMD shares traded and AMD hitting the high 80s.

Comment: Excellent point about the "effective float". I'm thinking a record days volume on Thursday of 13 million shares will fuel a major price revaluation...25 million shares on Thursday would provide rocket fuel, assuming a second successive record breaking quarter comes to fruition tomorrow evening!
