Daniel Hesse is No Alexander Graham Bell- Copycat Maybe?<g>

"But he[Daniel Hesse] says he couldn't pass up the chance to be the "Alexander Graham Bell of the 21st century."

Denis- I mentioned this upstream already but it's so ridiculous you don't think it's true. But it's ironic that Hesse mentions Bell because Bell has already transported voice, via light from two houses positioned across the street from each other. I tried to find a photo of the device but could not. It's sitting in his museum in Nova Scotia where I got a big kick out of it. Although he did not transport 200 copies of Newton's, I believe he did say, "Hello."

"After inventing the telephone, Bell continued his experiments in communication, which culminated in the invention of the photophone-transmission of sound on a beam of light- a precursor of today's optical fiber systems."

The above is not quite accurate because like TeraBeam, Bell's photophone was fiberless light too.<g> -MikeM(From Florida)
