Re: My guess is the latter and volumes will pick up in the PM

NG,
Markets are acting real shakey this morning. Assuming we don't have total market collapse, I think there will be a rush to the entrance this PM, in particular the last half hour. I doubt there will be sellers, so this should drive the price up nicely.

If the April call premiums look better in the PM, I may unload a few contracts. Otherwise, I'm looking to dump on the gap opening tommorrow, unless the news is so good I think the stock will go up before expiration. I'm debating exercising a few contracts also. The toughest part will be an entrance strategy into July options. I'm thinking of doing a sell April/buy July at the same time to avoid timing problems. I'd hate to sell 51 April contracts and only be able to get 25 July contracts as I watch the stock rise 10 points before buying. That said, I think I might hold out a few G's for April 21st. There's a lot of in-the-money calls for April, so it could be a wild day. If there's good downward pressure, July premiums may drop a bit. All and all, I've decided to not time this thing and go with a balanced approach dumping 10 contracts here and there.

PS- I think it's time for everyone to lay off the OT, we are only a few hours from earnings.

RE:"By the way, have you noticed how the AMD volume rate has fallen off today...Currently looking at 5 to 6 million vs. 8 million plus yesterday...Either buyers are on the sidelines awaiting results or they're just "cherry-picking" right now...My guess is the latter and volumes will pick up in the PM pushing AMD through $72"

Just the calm before the storm....

I see Cisco at 65...that ought be be a reality check.
